If you have a specimen from TN, post it and someone might be able to help with ID.

What part of TN are you interested in? The state is very long, and my section at higher elevation in the Appalachians of the northeast is totally different habitat and climate, compared to the Mississippi valley end of the state... and the middle of TN is like neither end.
If you want to see midea from the eastern mountains, I can try to figure out once again how to post photos... but they've always seemed to me to be typical A. m. midea around here. I've never seen one from the western end of the state.

Hmmm... That's in the western third of the state, up on the KY border. I've never seen material from that area, but I'd expect them to be midea midea, since it's not in the Mississippi valley where a lot of things that typically fly further south are found. Sorry I can't really help. There might be some KY collectors who could give a more informed opinion. jh
