Nice drawer.
I see you managed capturing a nice large (female/light phase) of ssp. maynardi
That indeed had to be a thrill for you whilst on holiday !

Yes it was amazing to see i caught all three in the Disney resort at Orlando. Times have probably changed but back then you could do what you liked with the blessing of the numerous security guards.I caught the male while i was fishing in the river. I did catch quite a few butterflies and moths while i was there and gave nearly all of them to a friend who collected American insects and he needed them all. He got quite excited by a small hawkmoth with grey wings i got in a bus shelter and said it was only the second record for the USA can't remember now what it was called

colin12303 That sphingid was most probably one of two possibilities Eupyrrhoglossum sagra or Perigonia lusca. Here is E. sagra. both tropical species rarely encountered in Florida.
