I found a mantis egg in my garage, so I put it in a container to see what would come out. Here's a photo of the little guys hatching.  Maybe this is Mom on my hibiscus.  |

What species is that? I've raised many mantids with cases bought from nursery supply. I've never seen an egg case like that.
They are pretty neat to watch pour out of the case, I'd always keep a few indoors and then disperse the rest around the yard.
