Hi All,
Glad to see that everyone is excited to hear about BioQuipBugs! As has already been mentioned I have now taken over the company to keep the BioQuipBugs legacy continuing.
The collection has now moved out of the BioQuip building and I am happy to report that the move was very successful, and all glass jars, drawers, and specimens made it safely without any damage.
For everyone who placed an order in the last few months but have not received their order yet, I am sorry for the delay (once BioQuip announced their closing they were swamped with orders and could not get them out to everyone is time) but I plan on filling all orders as quickly as I can in the coming few weeks while also preparing for the annual LA Bug Fair.
For those of you who do not know me, my name is Royce Cumming, and I am a current PhD student at the City University New York/American Museum of Natural History studying evolutionary biology and insect systematics (https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Royce-Cumming/research).
I still live and do my research in New York City even though the BioQuipBugs collection is in California, so I plan on bouncing from coast to coast frequently to fill orders. Most likely I will start a regular pattern of 1 week out of the month in California for BioQuipBugs and the remainder in New York City, therefore shipping will only be happening once per month so please order specimens early if they are needed for a deadline.
Thank you all for your support of BioQuipBugs over the years and I hope that I can continue to offer the same great specimens!
We are now on Instagram (@bioquipbugs) and Facebook so if you want to see updates on the collection/specimens which have not been listed for sale yet be sure to check us out!
Please note that the website address will remain the same, but the email and phone number have changed.
Thank you everyone for your support!
