Thx Lucanidae25 ! Could you, if possible, explain me in easy words what is the main characteristic that makes the species Dorcus eurycephalus and not another Dorcus sp. ? I have no clue how to determine Lucanidae but of course I would like to learn how to. Is this species here the same species ? It has shorter mandibula but was caught at the very same place. try not to look at the mandibles too much as they vary too much, rather look at the sides of pronotum, labium (between mandibles) and general shape of body, and yes it too is D. eurycephalus as Raymond has correctly pointed out hi Ray! ;D
