Hello. I've been hearing this noise almost every night near my window. I guess I assumed it's an insect, could someone take a listen and see what they think? Thank you.

From what I'm hearing, it could be a number of things. I have heard many sounds very similar to this one. This is what comes to mind:
- Cricket or katydid. I've witnessed for myself katydids and crickets making very similar sounds.
- Bird or bat. Nightjar perhaps?
- Rodent of some sort. Mice?
- Small frogs. They usually produce chirps instead of croaks.
It could be anything at this point...
