My boyfriend found a caterpillar on a cliff, in a forest in Langesund (a lake town). When found, it was sitting on the ground and not in a tree, so we don't have the information that concerns its feeding habitat. I was hoping someone out there could identify the species of the caterpillar, because our searches have not been successful, most searches coming up with pictures of orange and white cats, not caterpillars. Besides, it would be nice to see what it might metamorphose into. :P Thank you very much! :) Attachments:

Is it Langesund, Norway?
My best guess is Lasiocampa trifolii(Kløverspinner).

Hi Wolf! Yes, I did mean Langesund, Norway. I've compared the pictures on Google and of our caterpillar, Brandon, and I think you've got him right. Our eternal gratitude!
