Hello, I'm new here & honestly, my knowledge of insects is pretty basic (an insect has 6 legs)....
I saw this strange insect though, in my bathroom. Never seen anything like it before. At first, I thought it was just a marking on the wall, a line. Then, I saw it moved. I can't say I'm sure it has 6 legs though, it was quite small, about 2 cm long.
Anyway, I don't have a picture, but I have a video of it.
Click video for better res.
Hopefully someone can identify it. By the way, I'm from Singapore, if that helps. Thanks.

I thought so too, at first. But noticed how I blew (for a lack of a better word) the creature and yet it remained a unit. It even flew (or leapt) to the ceiling (without wings too!).

Definitely a mating pair of some insects, difficult to see what as the resolution is low. Insects often fly coupled together, not unusual, and the female normally does the flying while coupled. Probably the wings are not visible, tucked along the body, like the legs in the video, which are only obvious when the pair move (you can see 2 sets of legs at some points in the video).

I see. So, what insects are those? HD mode is available by clicking the video to the link in YouTube. However, that's the highest res I can get from a phone's camera.

my firts thoughts gone to arachnid or something like that (? spiders) reviewing the video it looks more like an insect (? hemiptera or dictyoptera)

Definitely 6 legs each, not 8, so not spiders, however I'm not sure what they are. As you say, maybe Diptera or Hemiptera, but could also be another order.

I can't see them too well, but it looks like a pair of Mayflies mating. I was seeing a pair of cerci at the end of the abdomen, even though they weren't very clearly photographed. Jeff Prill

I would have to throw my support behind order Hemiptera. Although the leg positioning of the insects is reminiscent of Ephemeroptera, their wings appear to be folded over the body. Assuming that this observation is correct, (which it may not be, judging by the blurriness of the shot) then it would not be possible for the pair to be Ephemeropterans. In full-screen mode I believe I saw something that may have the insects clypeus, something not very visible on most Dipterans. Anyway, bear in mind that much of this interpretive observation made off of a fairly hazy video.

Thank you for your intepretations, all of you. Even though the video was recorded in 720p HD, it was recorded with a camera phone. Hence, the quality may not be too clear.
I did some image searching on Google but couldn't find any insects that looked like the one I recorded. If anyone can find a nice picture of these insects, please link it here. Thank you.
And once again, thank you for your expert opinions.
