Kendall Renfro has posted (July 10) an ad in the insect classified where he is seeking caterpillars/rearing cages.
I had a frustrating business transaction with Kendall this past spring.
He has ordered from me in the past and has paid for his orders.
He placed an order on April 20, 2011, for eggs and non-diapausing pupae, both time sensitive, so I arranged for one of my shipping partners to dispatch his entire order on April 23 in advance of receipt of payment.
On April 24 Kendall wrote back, "I will mail the check on Monday."
On April 25 and April 30 Kendall emailed me about two other non-related questions: food plant for promethea and use of five gallon aquarium for rearing.
Sometimes the mail is slow, so on June 1, I notified Kendall that
I still had not received payment.
He promptly wrote back: "All is well. Sorry about that. I forgot."
On June 13, I advised Kendall that I still had not received payment, and that if I did not receive it within two weeks of
this date June 13-June 27, I would post a bad traders report.
On June 13 he replied, "I'm so sorry, I keep telling myself I need to send payment but I keep putting it off. I'll try to get the check in the mail tomorrow. I knew this was going to happen. I'm not a trader. I am a hobbyist who likes raising larvae."
He wrote back on June 15 that he had mailed the check.
We had a shut down of Canada Post that began right around that same time. It recently ended and I recieved a check from Kendall on Friday, July 8. It was dated as he had indicated.
I am hoping the check will clear as the amount written in numbers is different from the amount written in words. The word amount is correct.
Sometimes people do honestly forget. I would do business with Kendall again, but only after first receiving payment. I would advise anyone else to do the same.
