is this a wolf spider?

I found this spider in my garage. I live in northwestern Indiana. This spider was about 6 cm long, from abdomen to fangs, and maybe 9 cm or so across including the legs. I've seen a few of these in my basement as well, they hide in my laundry and are lightning fast and quite large. Sometimes I see them with an eggsack on their abdomen. They never have webs, so I was wondering if they were wolf spiders?
