Yesterday I found a male Actias luna. I am extremely surprised by this as it is very late in the season for southern Wisconsin. I know that in more southerly areas they will have 2 broods. This must be a bit rare for here to have a second brood.
We have however had one of the warmest summers on record which may account for this.
