The female in the first row is the one I'm struggling with. She has rounded marginal silver spots as opposed to the more triangular marginal silver spots of the females in the middle row. My best ID for the butterflies in the second and third row is that they are Speyeria egleis. Is this even correct? They were all taken at the same spot in the southern end of the Mendocino National Forest in Lake Co. CA on the 21st of July. I don't usually collect in California so I'm pretty unfamiliar with the forms of the different Speyeria. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Brant Attachments:
