The ssp. depends on the locality in Tanzania.
Ssp. magdae is found in the vicinity of Mt. Meru, Mt. Kilimanjaro and the North Pare Mts.; and ssp. usambaraensis flies in the mountains from NE Tanzania (Usambara) to Mbeya near Lake Malawi.
