bbmming, you should spread the specimen. Everybody here are in thoughts - what it is The detailed label data would work too - cannot imagine such colorful Hesperiiidae from the highlands of Qinhai. The specimen is taken on the mid altitudes, clearly. I have a big experience with the arctic/alpine Leps. I know how a highland Leps look like.

So...,this is Syfania bieti (or Agarista bieti) , an Agaristinae Noctuid,and not a skipper . Thanos

Nice one Thanos Synemon are diurnal and do look a bit like skipers, except their flight is nothing like that of skippers. Synemon spp. fly low to the ground and in short bursts, I have even caught them without a net with my bare hands
