This beetle was found indoors on the second story of our home underneath a desk. Time was 6am, he was moving rather slowly when I found him. What kind of a beetle is this? I haven't seen any other friends of his inside our home lately so don't know if he is a lone traveler from the outside world or if he belongs to a larger group that's holed up somewhere inside our home. I have seen smaller beetles like this in our once or twice before, but this guy is the biggest I've seen. Is this anything I need to be worried about finding indoors? Thank you for your help! This is Otiorhynchus sulcatus (Curculionidae family) -the 'Black vine weevil' . It's nocturnal and feeds on the leaves. No worries.
