A few years ago we had some of these neat Monarchs. There were this way because of a recessive gene. We raised some for fun before things got busy and we forgot to keep pairing them to keep them going and save some. I kept one and could kick myself for not keeping more. They couldn't fly, only flutter, as the veins didn't go to the end of the wings and the wings would flap. Once the outer 1/4 - 1/3 of the wings broke off, they flew without problem. The outer edge of the wings were wavy when dry. Attachments:

Wow!! That is realy neat. The butterfly is amazing looking. If you get them again I am sure insect collectors would want some.
On a difforent note do you still have pale coloerd Gulf Fritillaries? I am sure a few collectors would like to have some of those to. Also how did you get the Purple Buckeyes? You can PM me.
