I had the same question. I was offered good material but Prices were higher than dealer prices!! He seems to send pictures of materials but I am a little unsure of honesty. Be careful it is questionable. He wants payment fast and seems unwilling to send first. Usual scam tactics.

Yes always emailing me . Until i told him i wanted references - one reference replied said stock arrived ok but not not the last shipment and he hasn't ordered since. The other references wouldn't reply. In the end i told him unless he sent the stock first i wouldn't do business. Without telling me he said he sent off some stock EMS showed me pic of the post pac and asked for money when i received it. I've tracked it online but hasn't left Peru yet ..... will keep you updated. Also it was sent without permit which i'm not happy about. It's so difficult to trust new suppliers unfortunately . As soon as i see western union payment from any supplier I am immediately suspicious.

A year or two ago, I tried to work with them, but they were so aggressive that I backed out. The reference he gave me was very reputable, but refused to comment about reliability (that says something - doesn't it). But is was some nice bulk material from the highlands that I would have loved to have sorted through. Shuey

Hi Shuey, I eventually tracked the small parcel but the post returned it to him because of insufficient paperwork. He then emailed me and told me it was more or less my fault because i wanted the stock quickly. I just never answered them and they have stopped the continual emails thank goodness !

With all the classified ads lately from Augusto and Yenifer, has anyone had experience with them in the last few months?

I can't help myself not noticing the following:
-they are very aggressive in the emails -their prices are too big IMO -I *suspect* they don't pay INRENA, and the taxes they ask are pocketed. Also, these taxes are larger then normal (usually 25% of the order, excepting INRENA, divided as "firma of biologist", "guide" etc). Also they call INRENA as CITES and this was the first bell to me. -the more you discuss an order the more taxes pop up. It almost feels like a bank to me. -the only payment method accepted is Western U. -they put kots of pressure (ok, send the money tomorrow, this is important, so we can do the paperwork) -did I mention they are "very serious"?
Some sample:
"Hello, I send the photo of Morpho Didius A1, I can not wait a long time friend for a very small purchase will wait until Wednesday morning the money I'm sorryand thank you for your compression" [purchase of 500 dollars mind you]
I don't say they don't have/ship the insects, I'm just saying they seem clumsy doing business and they are expensive. I wouldn't buy from them for these reasons alone and I would not send money in advance for sure to them.

They are always advertising stuff on Facebook insect groups and I must say I have been tempted to buy some of their stuff, but now I have read this I will not touch them. Dave
