until recently It was a nightmare for me to glue an antenna as it breaks quite always during the manipulation. Then I had to rehydrate it before the operation. time consuming and not so useful (i used it only for important specimens and prefer to let the others without antenna). I recently discover a very easy method to rehydarate it very quickly, on the board and only when I need ! I just let the antenna on the board and put one or two drops of ammnoniaque (NH4OH, commercial one) on it. In a few second it becomes soft and it is easy to manipulate for gluing. It probably not new for some of you but I never heard about this before. You can't imagine how it is easy now (for me) to glue any type of antennas including small lycaenid of saturniid. Thierry ps1 : I don't know if it discolored colored antenna (be careful as ammoniac is known to discolor) ps2 : I suppose it also works with hot water (I didn't try) but again it is time consuming and heavy.

I find it harder to re-glue them when relaxed.
