The one you have listed as Maybe Periga?! From Chestnut-capped Piha Reserve. is Periga occidentalis. I requesrt permission to use this image, credited to you on my Periga occidentalis page of WLSS Please provide complete name for credit purposes I can only help with Saturniidae and Spihngidae determinations. Thanks, Leif, The image was fine as you posted it. I enlarged it slightly and made some slight digital repairs. If you also have date specimen was photographed, even if just to the month, that would be appreciated. Bill Oehlke

OK It was photographed at Las Tangaras Lodge, El Carmen area. Not Chestnut-capped Piha Reserve! I got it wrong when I posted the image. The date is September 6th 2011.
