Dear friends,
does anybody of you have informations or actual contact to below person?
JOSE MANUEL ZEVALLOS DEL AGUILA
MOYOBAMBA - SAN MARTIN- PERU.
I have sent to him USD 737,- in advance on Okt. 28. I got two short e-mails from Jose Manuel after sending payment and now no more informations.
I hope he is a honest person because I don`t want to loose money.
Would be nice to get some feedback.

It is very hard to say. I have dealed with him three or four times. You need to push him a bit. However, the last time, I sent him a samll amount of money around $100, he never responded since. So I suggest do not send the payment inadvance. Good luck

Just recently in the past few weeks there have been other warning notices posted in other insect buy/sell sites that Giovanni Zevallos del Aquila, current E-mail: giovazeva27@yahoo.es, also from San Martin, Peru has reportedly cheated a couple individuals out of considerable amounts of money. Is this the same individual or a relative ??
Just yesterday I received a request from Giovanni to pay for his collecting activities so that he may collect specimens for me. Sounds like something myself an everyone else should stay away from. Wish I could get someone to pay for my own collecting forays.

Well, according to Giovanni, Jose is his brother, one in the north of San Martin and the other in the south. Giovanni continues to request $ upfront to support his collecting efforts.
So it would appear we should avoid both of these characters. Our message to these fellows should be put up or shut up.

Four persons posted today 4-3-2012 on E-Bay Insect classifieds that they too have been ripped off by JOSE MANUEL ZEVALLOS DEL AGUILA. Also, he has now deleted his Facebook page. These individuals have stolen thousands of dollars from persons worldwide. Don't be the next victim.

Dear butterfly community, after waiting more than 5 months for my butterflies I have to inform you that here is another thief from Peru that has taken more than USD 700,- from me last November and sent no material as promised! His name is JOSE MANUEL ZEVALLOS DEL AGUILA from MOYOBAMBA - SAN MARTIN- PERU. Here is his facebook address: www.facebook.co/josemanuei.zevallos He uses his photos at his facebook account to ask for payment in advance, tell you some references but never send the promised material. I`ve included also a picture from him. Maybe police or INRENA can do anything against this thief. He is the guy on the right side. BE WARNED IF YOU WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PERSON! No word from him still, not even empty promises, well at least I know what he looks like now. I have spoken to him on the phone and I pictured him differently.

He is back. Today, JOSE MANUEL ZEVALLOS DEL AGUILA tried to sell me Macrodontia species at dirt cheap price. This thread saved me!  I give my thumbs up for this thread. |

Zevallos is currently offering lsome lots of Lycaenidae and Riodinidae from Peru. Thanks for all posted warnings that avoid to make a bad deal.

Hello friends,
Beware of the brothers del Aguila Zevallos. Jose has tried to cheat Manui € 700. According to a deal with the few specimens, and sent me copies other common and very fewest. Now he tells me that in a second delivery and purchase will send the agreement. He's a liar swindler, please never send money in advance.

The crazy thing is that many people fall for this a-hole, and the other scammer scumbags tricks and promises of nice bugs, for cheap prices. Even if it's posted, whether here, or on Facebook, people always fall, lose their money, then complain. C'est la vie...
