I was searching flickr just now and found this pic. What seems to be P.palinurus and P.polytes copulating. Anyone seen the result of that combination before? Is it even possible? Attachments:

Wow, thanks for sharing that. It certainly seems strange that a male polytes would be attracted to a green butterfly like palinurus.
I make frequent trips to the Philippines and I've trained family members there to collect. Both of those species are extremely common there, so I will try crossing them and see what happens. Thanks for the post.
If I ever get any results, I'll let you know on this forum. Given the polymorphic nature of P. polytes, that coupling would surely produce some interesting results!
