He (YP Dion) is a maths professor at some university in Canada, I guess that's why he has no time for some of us 'common' people. Good to note there are at least some happy customers. Yes, he is a busy teacher. I have met him personally a few times at trade shows. He does not strike me as a deliberate scammer. He is a real ento guy, but I think he is over-extended by his other job. I have urged him many times to get his act together, but to no avail. This has been going on for YEARS! You cannot treat customers this way and expect to be successful in this business. Pascal!!! Are you listening? Clark, I get the impression that's its more than being overstretched...I could understand delays in sending stuff out or even postings on here apologising for how busy he is if he's trying to hold down a full time job and do his insect business. BUT, this has been going on with this guy for YEARS now. I've never dealt with him (and wouldn't due to the majority of the feedback he's had on here) but while I could accept an apology for a delay in sending I couldn't accept silence from a seller who takes the money and then doesn't deliver (literally doesn't deliver). BTW - what chance of bringing the old "insect trading reports" section of the old forum archives back online? I know there was all that trouble over the threats from the seller outed for being shady on there but it would help any newer members avoid other dodgy sellers that have already been identified in the past. He shows up in person every year at the Montreal insect fair (Canada, Quebec) which he organizes himself in late October. I have met and dealt with him in person several times but not last year since moose hunting was starting at the same time as the fair . He doesn't come off as a cheater but I have never dealt with him online. The risk involved in online cheating a guy from the other side of the planet is definitely smaller than doing the same to a guy standing right in front of you. I was told that quite a few insect dealers around the world also have negative feedback concerning Mr. Dion... Jean-Philippe

It seems YPD is moving his whole shop to another place. This moving took about 2 months, he must have been very busy. This may explain recent problems ... More info here in French : www.passionpapillons.com/

well this is interesting.. but it is very unprofessional to not let anyone who have brought from the website know about the status of what he claims. can he be trusted with the past feedback??..who knows. all i know is i filed a complaint with paypal to get my money back. and i rather get my money back safely then give into thinking he is promising to send parcels. it seems he promises allot and as i said the lack of communication is a big let down. i think he is a swindler and if i do manage to recover my lost money, i will take my purchase elsewhere

The "revue de presse" is very funny. Local journalists depict himself as a Canadian Lord Rothschild who makes the hapiness of museums and worldwide collectors !

Yves-Pascal Dion
This is the first morning in 6 years that I don't have to go to my office to work at my museum : Passion Papillons. Today, I stay home ... and I work on my insects and prepare orders from customers. So, it is the same but I can do it without being interrupted all the time. All of you friend have a good day!

Simon The Old Trading Reports are TOO old. I don't want to bring them back online. That will cause me untold problems and legal liability. But you will notice I am starting to allowing 'bad trader reports' in the Classifieds. I do this because this Trading Report section is more difficult to get to now and sometimes we need 'warnings' more quickly. Also, the Classifieds posts are not permanently archived. They expire automatically after a while, so there is less chance of legal liability. All this could have been avoided if members would have followed the rules in the old Trading Reports, but that seemed to be humanly impossible.
