Hello, I have been swindled by Yves Pascal Dion (Insectes mondiaux), who has a web site called www.entomopro.com, I ordered many beetles in early october and paid for them by paypal ($160). I waited for a month the beetles to arrive, and sent a message to him asking for the delay, he told me he was a very busy person and I had to wait some more days until the package was delivered. I waited for one more month, and the beetles were not received still, I wrote to him once more but no answer was received, even before some more messages, no answers anymore. I write to paypal to make a complaint, but paypal told me that was not possible because the payment was made more than 45 days of the complaint. I think that person is a cheater and he wanted me to wait longer and longer with excuses in order to exceed the 45 days. As a result of this incident I have found more people scamed by this person on forums. Juan.

Yes, he is a scammer. If you had gone to the old forum, you would have found numerous complaints about him. Jeff Prill

Dear circundio,
Sorry to see that you were one more of his victims. Go to the new 'insect trading reports' here, and find the thread 'Yves-Pascal'. There, you will see more collectors cheated by him, and I write the things very well about him. He continues to run his eBay sales normally by the way, while is making offers on facebook, too.

I have deal with this gentlemen, and have had no problems. Last year I got a super rare atrophaneura matsudai from him, it was perfect quality, well mounted, and price was much better then Japanese sources.

He (YP Dion) is a maths professor at some university in Canada, I guess that's why he has no time for some of us 'common' people. Good to note there are at least some happy customers.

There were warnings about him in the "Insect Trading Reports" of the old forum which are now, sadly, unavailable/disabled after Clark received threats of legal action from another "seller" named and shamed - I thought it was a pity that the old reports were made inaccessible as they were a treasure trove of information of who to deal with and who to AVOID. With regard to why his site is still up and running...well I guess YP uses some of his ill-gotten gains to pay his internet host...who are probably happy to keep hosting his site as long as the dollars keep rolling in... Out of interest what birdwings did you order? Anyway, hope that, like John, your specimens do turn up. Simon PS - I notice YP has pictures on his Facebook page of apparently his displays of specimens for sale at the Montreal show - anyone ever actually dealt with him in person?

Yes, he is a busy teacher. I have met him personally a few times at trade shows. He does not strike me as a deliberate scammer. He is a real ento guy, but I think he is over-extended by his other job. I have urged him many times to get his act together, but to no avail. This has been going on for YEARS! You cannot treat customers this way and expect to be successful in this business. Pascal!!! Are you listening?

I was told last year that he's retired as a teacher now, and is working full time on his insect business. If that's the case, he's obviously not working hard enough.

i brought a pair of Ornithoptera tithonus, and Ornithoptera chimaera. and its a huge shame cause it was the last birdwings i needed to complete my birdwing collection i have been saving for many years..it was a huge dream of mine growing up to have my own birdwing collection and these were my last 2 pairs i needed. not only have i run out off funds to complete my dream, its totally made me depressed as i was so close...now thanks to this seller who has taken my money, i have no way of finishing it and it took me a long time to make that $400 :(im asking myself: why so close only to fail

Why on Earth should a retired teacher steal 400$ At least in my country he would get a rent high enough that he can use your 100$ bills to blow his nose with it when it pleases him to do so. The situation looks like the gentlemen is overworked, he should then close his shop for a few days how it is regularly done in insect-sale.com to get things done. Furthermore I would never ever buy from entomopro.com for the reason that he does not legally state his adress and who he is. I don't know about Canada but in Germany it is a law that you have to state your real adress on a business site. If you buy from a place that does not get basic laws right then it is your problem if you get scammed.

I believe that he may be scamming a friend of mine currently. I was sent a box of specimens tht I do not need from one of my friends in Africa. The person in Africa made a deal with this person to take the bugs from me. I sent them to him and he is now saying that he has not received them. I have the paperwork on the shipment at home. I have been away for a couple of weeks, but I will forward that paperwork to the African guy when I return home in a week. Hoepfully this guy will not steal from the collector.
