I'm not able to identify this very large noctuid moth (wing span 13 cm). I have neither found in the noctuid volumes of Seitz nor in Hampson, Catalogue of the Noctuidae. The specimen is labeled as Phyllodes (definitively wrong) , no other data. many thanks for your help Regards, Manfred Attachments:

Amazing difference between Manfred's specimen and the reference specimen from Chris's link. It's difficult sometimes when the reference specimen is so faded or vice versa. We tend to key in on the most obvious right away and overlook the details.
Fantastic moth Manfred, reminds me of Castnia diva

It is stunning that a species described as early as 1882 is not listed neither in Seitz nor in Hampson !
