as it seems in the picture they have a "runny" bottom and correct me if i m mistaken. It usually happens to saturniids and most people say it s a virus that s transferred from the female on the surface of the ova , so when larvae emerge they carry it. Not know for sure but if this is the case don't expect healthy broods from this breed. It destroyed more than 30 argema mimosae of mine which ended up hanging from the branches and literally melting.

I don't know what it was exactly, I thought the skin was fragile and they ripped off, but maybe they had a runny bottom as you said. Thanks for your reply!
