Hello fellow Diptera enthusiasts.... I live in New Orleans and do a lot of my hunting within a fifty plus mile radius and it is that time of year. Last week I caught quite a few Laphria grossa, really good mimics of Bombus and very beautiful I might add. Main point... if any of you out there would like to swap specimens from other states, countries, etc. please let me know. Even sharing your favorite fly catching stories would be appreciated, I know I have a few. Another group that piques my fancy is the Hymenopterans, especially Mutillidae, Vespidae, Sphecidae, Pompilidae, Siricidae, Cephidae, and Ichneumonidae, plus all the mimics and odd assorted families less known. Thanks for your ear and take care all.

Live around Aguanga Ca there are many wonderful species here. Interested in trading have samples of almost everything you listed. Have collected some interesting robber flies, pepsis, pompilids, mutillids. Trying to find a decent population of Dasymutilla magnifica around my area. Found a hotspot today for robbers :0 a buddy of mine sent me some excellent intel. Thank you! Really need some books on diptera, hymenoptera, roaches, mantids if you have any you'd like to trade? Otherwise I'm always up for trading insects or minerals. Pm me. Ian Attachments:
