Just had to post about a fine beginning business relationship with BioQuipBugs.com. I have placed a few orders with them and am VERY pleased. The material was fine and the one error was taken care of with total professionalism. Brent at BioQuipBugs.com has taken great effort to please this customer. He knows how important data is to me and promptly calls me to discuss any potential issues before shipping off the package. With one error(requiring me to wait a while for the proper specimen), he called and/or emailed me every so often just to say that he has not forgotten me. I like such dedication I will continue to order from there as long as the terrific service prevails. In a nutshell, nice job Brent. It is nice and appreciated to be treated so well. ;D www.bioquip.com/

Breant is a great person and I am very honored to have worked with him when he was in charge of the insect zoo at the L.A. natural history museum. He is very dedicated and will resolve problems promptly.

Ok, I already posted on this, but the Forum seems rather quiet on the BioQuipBugs supplier at a time when so many are out there with negative posts about bad service.
So.....I feel compelled to again (after receiving another package of 60+ leps from Brent at BioQuipBugs) to say to the insect community, try them...you'll like 'em. What I got again today was absolutely perfect, super-well packaged, and prompt ;D
With the importing situation being as ^$%#y poor as it is with the govt., here is a new source of darn good material from overseas from within the USA. Remember that if I stick my neck out like this and they are not good, I look like a fool. I am freely sticking my neck out and will do so until such time (should there ever be one) when I am displeased.

are you in USA? bioqupbgs if ship out of the US ,they require extra over 100usd for the legal paper for export. i had an order before, but concerning the extra 100usd and the uncheap shipment then i gave up. also they don't accept Paypal. but indeed, there're some unique and uncommon insects from this site.

Yes---in the USA
I didn't know about PayPal since I don't pay them that way.
You're correct about the $100, but all USA exporters have to pay this $ to the good-ole-USFW. Actually, it will usually cost even more than that.

I ordered a few things from BioQuipBugs and I have to say it was disappointing. No collecting data at all, and very faded poor specimens. Not to mention the most ridiculous and time-consuming method of placing orders and figuring shipping charges that I have encountered any time anywhere.
I really expected a lot more from BioQuip as they have been around many years. I probably will never buy bugs from them again.

I hadn't checked their site since I ordered, which was right away when they first opened shop.
It now looks like the odd shipping charge structure has been changed to something much more normal and reasonable.
I'm going to give these guys another try since BioQuip is an old and respected company and has always been my source for cabinets, equipment, etc.
It may be that the first time around, being right when they were getting started, I might have gotten some old stock left over from Insects International.
