I have noticed the trading reports are filled with information about scammers and bad traders. I was wondering who are some of the people you have delt with and had good experiences with. There are so many dealers out there, it might be better for the beginning collector to see who are good people to buy from. For the record, I buy most of my insects off of Insect Collector Shop.

For beetles I've not found a better site than Russian Insects. I. Osipov is great with quality, communication, timeliness and everything else one could want. I don't collect leps so have no idea about that side of things.

Those who list on the home page are good people overall. There are some good people on Ebay also but I would say the best way to get a good deal is to ask here on Insectnet BEFORE buying. I have had new great people become sellers to me based on good reviews prior to ordering.

I`m also a good insect dealer and supply some of the big dealers mentioned by other collectors .I`m recent on the scene compared to the old boys.
So if you are interested in some Australian insects send me a mail , I can make you a good deal and I back my specimens 100% and loook after my customers.

Yes, Osipov occasionally supplies beetles that are incorrectly identified. I've never found a dealer who did not make that mistake. They rely on their suppliers for the most part to make the proper identifications. But with Osipov the incidence is very low in my experience.
To get back to the original thread, I also had very good luck with William Tan of Malaysia. Good prices, good material, excellent service.
