Hi All, The following Graphium is from Tam Dao, Vietnam. I assumed it was a very straightforward ID - G. sarpedon - but the (lack of) hindwing markings compared with pcitures of sarpedon ssp. sarpedeon from Tam Dao available on the net have got me scratching my head..? Simon Attachments:

It must be a male of s.sarpedon, and there is variation so appear these different forms.

Thanos is right Simon, that photo is of an aberration.

Actually this is form semifasciatus (Honrath, 1888) of ssp. sarpedon. This form is common in China and also often found in northern Vietnam.

Yes Adam, my mistake. I should have said FORM rather than AB. Senior moment!

Don't worry about it Dave. In reality a form is only a commonly occurring aberration anyway!

Thanks all for the info I assumed it was a straightforward id as sarpedon until I googled "sarpedon vietnam" and came across the (second) image I attached. I wrongly assumed that ALL of the Vietnamese specimens were f. semifasciatus... Thanks again, Simon
