Hi Zak, Many new Saturniidae names have been put forward by Brechlin and Meister in 2010-2011, based largely on DNA barcode analysis. This specimen from Peru is most likely Hyperchiria nausioccidentalis, one of the new names put forward. This species probably flies throughout most of eastern Peru.
Please post the wingspan and any additional data once you receive the specimen.
I wil lpost this image, credited to you, on the nausioccidentalis file.
