This is a male of probably Pieris napi , but could be also P.balcana (balcana is much more local than the common and widespread napi, but their distributional relationship is uncertain). Would be good if I could see the underside of the hindwings, where in balcana the veins (the black scales around them) are generally more poorly defined, but there is also variation in this character so it can't be of taxonomic importance. Many consider that these 2 are the same species, but T.Tolman's book says : Sexual and reproductive isolation (pre-mating barrier and low fertility) from P.napi has been demonstrated in cross-pairing experiments (male napi x female balcana and female napi x male balcana).
