This will be my first post, and I am hoping for some help in identifying a number of hesperids that were gifted to me. I am not sure of everyone's tolerance for spending time on these matters, so will start with just one specimen. I tried to post the underside also, but can only attach one picture. As a separate issue (please let me know if it Is OK to cross over topics like this), I will be taking a 10 day trip to Sulawesi in late May. Any tips for locations? Attachments:

Genus Pythonides. It looks to be Pythonides jovianus jovianus Stoll, 1782 .

ps: Yes, you can upload only 1 picture per post, but you can upload as many pics you like by replying to your/someone else's first, second, third, etc post in any thread (1 picture with each reply).

Thanks so much Thanos, I much appreciate it. Do you have a resource for South American skippers, or will it be OK to post pictures of the ones i have not ID'ed so far? Here is the ventral of the same specimen. Attachments:

Thanks, BOA is a fantastic resource, and I use it for my US bugs all the time, but I thought the Neotropical hesperids had not yet been loaded. I did find (when I went looking for a picture after Thanos’ ID) that Pythonides jovianus is included and in fact there they all are! I appreciate the heads-up.

As you can see - there are a lot of holes in the site - and some of the type photos are ratty. But as it ages, people will help fill the gaps and it will become more and more useful.
