After recently checking the status of my over wintering Apatura ilia larval hibernation cages, it would unfortunately appear that one of my cages has been predated during the winter months with the consequent effect of wiping out all of the larvae that were contained within it. Although the specimens in my second cage appear to have survived to an acceptable level, I am now in rather urgent need of additional Apatura ilia/metis larval specimens which I desperately need to continue my research studies this year. Having written to some of the usual suppliers, none (at least in the UK) are currently able to help, leaving me rather in a state of limbo as far as conducting further research this year. I write to enquire therefore if anybody in central Europe (or elsewhere for that matter) might please be able to help supply any additional post hibernation Apatura ilia/metis larval specimens?
I appreciate that livestock supply requests are normally posted to the classified ad section of the website, but considering the urgency of the required specimens, I hoped that my message would gain a greater audience if it was posted here.
Sincerest Regards,
Mark
