Heres a good photo of my 4th instar emperor larva dispite the cold weather here in the UK they seem to be doing well on bramble.. Attachments:

Very nice catterpilar. What is "UK emperor" ? Scientific name please.

How have you managed to get a fourth instar pavonia larva in early may.

Hi Dunc l received the larvae from a friend in cornwall 30th March and reared them indoors and they have just done really well on bramble got a dozen or so..

There seems to be all stages up for sale on sites weathers messed things up some pyri ova are for sale mine are not out yet.
