I'm sure everyone knows of Charles Kondor, and that he did time for some import/export violation a number of years ago. He still has an eBay site where he sells lots of nice already-spread specimens supposedly from older collections. As of yet I haven't seen any CITES 1 material but occasionally he does have CITES 2 species (such as Teinopalpus and Ornithoptera).
Is anyone buying from him? Does anyone know if the stuff he is selling now is legal?
It seems he would be putting himself at great risk committing the same violations again, and on eBay where the whole world can see it.

I`m sure he would be doing things correctly.
I`m an Australian insect dealer and he buys stuff from me only with correct export permits from Australia.
Why don`t you ask him personally.

There is a post in Facebook about him and the 'Gynandromorph' Morpho that was so obviously glued. Apparently he is not above glueing antennae on to make a specimen look good, and it is often not even an antenna from the same species. I understand he does a fair bit of 'repair' work to make his grossly overpriced specimens look nice in their Riker mounts. I wonder how many people have opened one of them to find the insect is made form several specimens?
As to his selling from 'old collections', well from the people who say he is buying stuff from them I would treat this with great suspicion. Are there really that many 'old collections' solely in Riker mounts?

He is selliong stuff from Mexico, which last time I checked didn't matter how odl they are.

Well he buys nothing old collections from me only A1 bred material or wild collected as best as I can offer.
I guarantee my material .
