I have a batch of Platyprepia virginalis "Ranchman's Tiger Moth" cocoons that are stating to hatch and can not find any information on what and if the adults feed. Does anyone out there have any information on this or where I could find the feeding habits of adults Arctiinae ?

Hello Rich, I reared them two times. The specimen do not feed. The larvae feed on Taraxacum, other low plants and Artificial diet. Kind regards Diddy

I had a pair of P. virginalis hook up on the 2 June, on the 6 June the female deposited two batches of ova and the 13 June the ova hatched. This may be helpful to other searching for information on the breeding time-line of these Tiger Moths. Rich Attachments:
