Hello every one
I have one Nigidius sp. specimen. I think It is Nigidius distinctus but It is very strange (He has a larger black canthus; front angle of pronotum is angular). Could you help me ID it,
Thank you very much

It is not N. ditinctus as the canthus do angle back on your specimen as you correctly point out, distinctus' canthi point to the sides at 90 degrees. Not sure what species at this stage. There have been a number of new species described from various regions in Vietnam, where exactly is this specimen from?

Here is an image of distinctus from Fujita, 2010. I think you could have either a female N. didymus DeLisle, 1964. From Laos and Southern Vietnam. Or most probably N.laoticus DeLisle, 1964, with the same distribution. Yes I'm thinking laoticus as it is less robust. Attachments:

Hi Bichos I have checked his genitalia, this is photo. I collected it from S. Vietnam. After checking, I also think that it is N. laoticus. Do you have any other photo of genitalia? we can check it. Or origin description of N. laoticus. The Fujita's book is wrote by Japanese so I can check it. Thank you. Attachments:
