What are your top five HVT's (hgh value targets) beetles on your list this year to collect? Mine are:

Nice stuff! I hope you find a lot of them. All of those are pretty far from WI but I actually received 3 Plinthocoelium suaveolens plicatum in the mail from a guy down in Texas, along with some other stuff too about two weeks ago. This is my list from the beginning of the year for some of the beetles and butterflies that I really wanted to get. The ones in bold are ones I caught/saw already. BEETLES: Alaus oculatus Prionus imbricornis Monochamus notatus Xyloryctes jamaicensis BUTTERFLIES: Battus philenor Eurytides marcellus Papilio troilus Libytheana carinenta Nymphalis vaualbum

In Dodgeville WI. On May 17 there were lots of what I thought were black-form-female tiger swallowtails flying around. I finally netted one and it turned out to be a female pipevine! The next day the were more and I saw the zebra fly across a field! The third day I saw probably two pipevines, and I haven't been able to confirm a sighting of either species since

5 beetles I would REALLY like to collect this year are:
Dinapate wrightii - in my dreams... Dynastes Granti - going to AZ, so it's possible! Sinodendron rugosum - probably not. Lucanus Elaphus - maaaaybe? Lucanus mazama - AZ trip, so maybe.
