Ryan,
These are the words you used in same paragraph you mention her by name: "Obviously I hope everything is ok with her, but I would be lying if I didn't say I'm afraid I'm getting ripped off this time around." Who makes you afraid that you are "getting ripped off this time around?"
In another post you wrote: "This furthers my suspicion that I am being taken for a ride." Whom do you suspect is "taking you for a ride"
In another posting you wrote: "Its highly questionable when emails go un-answered, especially when almost everyone these days has a smartphone with internet access."
What is questionable? +++++++++++++++++++++
I don't have a smart phone. From my perspective, if I were doing business with you, I would not like to see my name associated with the comments/suggestions/fears/questions you have written about Katelyn.
I am 65 years old and do tend to see things from a different perspective (old school). Others on the forum, including myself, have responded in support of Katelyn.
What is done is done. I do think people tend to be much more cautious/"patient" with their public voice (internet postings), however, when their full names appear with their comments. I do think there are other explanations for what you are experiencing, and I think a little more time will bear this out.
I would not have an issue with your written words if 30 days had elapsed with no explanation or refund and your name appeared with your comments. That is my perspective.

Bill,
Until I hear from her, or receive what I ordered, my tune will not change. Maybe you missed it, but this is the trading reports section where people can "offer reports from personal experience". What am I doing? Offering a report from a personal experience of mine. You want to accuse me of slandering (which you are obviously trying to do in so many words) then start another thread for it. Otherwise, don't hijack this inquiry.

Ryan. I agree with your sentiments and you are right to express your view.

Thanks suzuki and thadeos. As seems to be the recurring theme, I will wait and see. Hoping it won't take three or four weeks to resolve, though, which is why I revived this thread.

Ryan, You wrote, "Maybe you missed it, but this is the trading reports section where people can "offer reports from personal experience". The guidelines also request, "just the facts". You have gone beyond the facts and put forward some quite negative assumptions.
"What am I doing? Offering a report from a personal experience of mine." Yes, and it is okay to report just the facts and not throw in the personal feelings and assumptions about getting "ripped off", etc. I responded I would support your assumptions if you had given them a bit more time to have more credibility (30 days). To me there are still too many reasonable explanations for the problem, beyond the assumptions (not facts) you have put forward.
"You want to accuse me of slandering (which you are obviously trying to do in so many words) then start another thread for it. Otherwise, don't hijack this inquiry."
I am neither accusing you of slander nor libel, both of which, in a legal sense, require spreading of false information. I believe everything you have written is true to your experience. I believe you placed an order with Katelyn. I believe she confirmed she would ship it. I believe you have not received it. I believe she has not responded yet to your emails to her asking her about the shipment. To me those are the facts.
It is not clear to me whether Katelyn indicated to you on July 9 that she would have regalis eggs for you that could be shipped on July 9 or whether she indicated to you on July 9 that she would have regalis eggs for you, without specifying a date for shipment. If there were other customers ahead of you in line, they may have received the eggs deposited the first night. Female Saturniidae usually deposit a large compliment of eggs the first night after separation, but that is not always the case. Katelyn may have assessed the size of the female and anticipated the number of eggs she could supply. If there were many customers in line ahead of you, and female was slow to release eggs, your ship date may have been later than July 9.
I suspect Katelyn has a job other than shipping eggs. She probably shipped whatever she could each morning before heading off to "regular" work. Possibly your eggs did not get shipped until early this week and will arrive today or tomorrow. I hope so.
Possibly Katelyn also made a mistake with your order. If that is the case, I am sure she will own it (the mistake) and make amends.
I tried to throw in some personal examples to show there can be other, more palatable explanations to seeming problems.
I do not feel I have hi-jacked this conversation. I have defended a person's good name, based on my own personal experiences with that person. I will be very curious to learn what transpires in the next week or so. I have confidence in Katelyn.
Two days ago I was notified that one of my shipping partners had Eacles imperialis eggs available. I sent out email notices to check to see if all who had submitted earlier requests still wanted them. One of the replies that I received came from an email address (smartphone possibly) that I had never seen before. The reply was "yes, please send them now" without a name or address. Maybe Katelyn does not even know this thread exists, especially if she is on holidays. Maybe she does not even know there is a problem.
Based on all my experiences with her over the years, and based on all other comments in this thread, I will be very surprised if there is not a satisfactory resolution.
My concerns are three-fold. 1) I do think that someone indicating there is a possible trade problem ought to allow sufficient time to rectify the situation before making it public, and putting forward the other person's name as the root of the problem. 2) I also think there should be a requirement, by Clark, and by any other moderator of a forum, that the person who links another person's name to a trading problem should be required to give his/her own full name with the post. I think this would slow down what I perceive as a rush to judgement, and 3) it would seem only fair to me to make sure the person under suspicion is aware of the perceived problem.
Katelyn may not know this "problem" exists, and she may not even know this thread exists. I am confident she will respond when she is aware of the problem.

Thanks Bill. Other than yourself, who has an obvious web presence, I do not keep tabs on who is a well-known dealer and who is not. All I've got to go on is this thread and one transaction with her. I am not a big-time breeder. If someone had sent me money, I would at least let them know of any delays.

Here's an update: Katelyn responded to my emails this past Monday and sent the ova, which I received today, fulfilling my order to my satisfaction. Thanks to those who actually helped to get in touch with her and bring this matter to a close.
Let me also add that a person's credibility should not come into question just because they did not wait a subjective period of time beforing raising questions themselves. With seasonal flight times for certain species to consider, one does not always have the luxury of waiting so long to find out that it is already too late in the season for ova to be obtained.
Thanks, Ryan

to add to what bill said, last year one of bill's subcontractors sent me luna eggs that never hatched so the replacement ones came from Katelyn 3 broods later, I have an adult male who just eclosed today also, my regal eggs from her (which arrived on my birthday) are almost all prepupae/pupae, and I had received samia eggs from her that she promptly replaced after they didn't hatch, and the replacements hatched she's good with sats, I just wish she'd sell anisotas because I'd buy some in a flash

I'd like to get a hold of some of the more exotic saturniids to rear, like Citheronia vogleri, Rothchildia, Automeris, and other moths. Bill, do you know of anyone who can supply some ova?
