At the moment my larvae of Lucanus maculifemoratus maculifemoratus (Japan) are becoming pupae.
I fed the larvae with fermented wood and kept them at a cool temperature (around 16°C).
The pupa in the picture was recieved from a larva which weighed 12-13g when I last weighed it on 12th of March this year.
It took almost 2 years.
