I had another specimen lay eggs over the past two days. This time it is an Eacles imperialis. My property is full of sweetgum, oak, pine, and cedar so I should have no problem raising these guys. ;D Attachments:

Wow how much fun to get eggs! I have had a few chances to rear these guys but always failed. Good luck. But unrelated Ecles oslary was easy and fun to rear. I loved seeing the verity of colors in these moths.

Get out the chainsaw! While I had just about all the LFP's they use fairly close, I always reared mine on Quercus, Juglans or Salix simply because I had huge trees of them within a stones through of the house. Made it a lot handier as sometimes I reared them in very high numbers. Surprised anybody has trouble rearing any sp/ssp of Saturniidae. They are among the easiest of all Lepidoptera to rear.
