Some of us prefer to treat it under "Dorcus". nice specimen , it is Dorcus caprecornus caprecornus (Didier, 1931).

Thank Bichos. . I read in the Web page: "Web.me.com" That the Macrodocas belong to cladognathini tribe, whereas Docus genus belong to Dorcini tribe. It mean they belong to different taxa. By the way do you know how about that web page now. I can not sign in it.

Most Japanese are treating it as dorcus so am happy to do the same... I am not at all surprised that it might be placed in the cladognathini tribe as early workers placed it under the genus Prosopocoilus.
