A buddy of mine that runs a convenience store collects large beetles that come to his lights a nite a saves them for me today I was going thru them and came across a male D.tityus that is blue instead of the usually green color. Is this normal for this species I know it occurs in some of the South American Dynastes but in 30 years I have never seen it in a North American species.
