Today I found this GIANT female Derobrachus hovorei, in Portales, NM. I was just wondering if anyone's seen a larger beetle from North America, and what it was. Feel free to share some pics of your giants!

What is the measurement? Looks to be close to 90 mm if my eyes aren't playing tricks on me.

94mm if you include the protruding abdomen, 74mm if you only measure to the end of the elytra.

George - If I remember right, bugguide showed a range up to 66 mm for this species. Looks like you may have a record there.
