Hi there beetle lovers. I have just come back from southern Europe and brought back with me a large species of Cerambyx alive. It is a female and seems quite happy sitting on some cut oak leaves. It drinks water when the leaves are sprayed and is munching ripe fruit. Is it possible to breed these incredible creatures and if so what would I need to achieve this? Any help from people that know how would be appreciated. Cheers

Normally Cerambyx species lay their eggs in dying trees. So unfortunately I don't think you can breed them. Cerambycidae are such nice beetles.

That's a shame, I would love to manage it. Thanks for the fast response. Dave
