Hi all, I posted this photo on my blog last night, along with an explanation of how I used Photoshop to salvage the picture. Later today I will be posting some nicer pictures of this same critter... Cheers, EC www.macrocritters.wordpress.comAttachments:

Nepomorpha, especially Belostomatidae is one of my favorite. The toe biter is quite the legend in my area. Any chance of one of those?
Your photos are amazing, and you shouldn't second guess yourself on the blog.

Wow, thank you very much!
I would love to photograph a toe-biter. Heck, I’d enjoy keeping one as a pet! They occur here, but they aren’t very common. In fact I have never seen one. I’ve actually considered importing some from the US just to photograph one!
Cheers, EC

Think these fly to lights sometimes. Would make a neat pet.
