Anyone have information on this species? What a beautiful species. How many of these are in collections? Really hard to get good information. Well I'm feeling blessed to have #1 in my collection. Thanks for your help. Ian

No info here but I like these flies too. I find them here in New Mexico in the Gila Wilderness. The wasp is from my backyard where they come by the dozens to the milkweed blossoms. I only know beetles, but I occasionally grab some attractive specimen of another order like these beauties. I think the mimicry is remarkably good. Rick Attachments:

Wyliea mydas. Nice specimens. The Gila Wilderness is great have visited there a couple times. Last year when I went to visit my favorite campground had been washed away by the Gila River. Really like flies if you ever want to trade? Ian Attachments:
