Hi, I would like to know what insect this is. I saw it in a rainforest in Sri lanka and the forest official said it was a forest cricket but i am not convinced. Ps: Sorry for hijacking your thread. For some reason i am unable to post a new thread. Attachments:

It is a Fulgorid. Also known as "lantern bugs", they are close relatives of cicadas.
