Hello, My name is Guy, Director of a summer camp in Maine. A camper found what we think is a larva, because we concluded it was not a caterpillar. Can someone help us identify so we can research and share with our campers? Thank you very much. Attachments:

It looks like the caterpillar of a White-blotched Heterocampa, one that is about to pupate (make a pupa). If you want to raise it you should put it in a container with a layer of soil in the bottom.
