Does anyone have a good method for mounting wasps with their wings spread? I find it difficult to spread both wings and legs. They get in each others' way.

I do mine like this, not perfect but it works for me. I leave the legs in the groove and spead the wings like a butterfly. Then i pull the legs out of the groove and position with pins Attachments:

Do my wasps almost the same way. Cotton under the antennae and abdomen. Lots of pins. Really nice to have a variety of forceps to work with. Large wasps defiently have to be one of the best insects to have displayed. For smaller species have developed a method using a fluffy tolietpaper roll which sounds crazy but has worked out great. You just make slight indentations in the top of the roll, pin the same as you would a spreading board. Fluffy is gentle on the specimens and you can fit a bunch on one roll.
